Thank you for considering sponsorship of the 2026 Jeep Run benefiting The Children’s Haven of Cherokee County, Georgia.
The Children’s Haven promotes the health and happiness of children impacted by abuse and neglect. Our mission is to build successful children through programs that increase safety and strengthen their educational, social, and emotional well-being. We envision a community where every child affected by abuse has the support and opportunity to realize their full potential.
The need in our community is significant. On any given day, more than 300 children and teens in Cherokee County are in foster care, and more than 11,000 are in care statewide. As of December, 2025, 3,594 reports of abuse and neglect were made in Cherokee County. With the support of our community, more than 700 children received care, connection, and hope through the programs of The Children’s Haven last year. However, these numbers reflect a growing need, and your sponsorship will help us serve even more children and families at critical moments.
The Children’s Haven delivers services through four core programs:
• Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA): Trained volunteers advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, ensuring their best interests are represented and working toward safe, permanent homes.
• Wellstar Family Visitation Center: Provides a safe, welcoming environment for children in foster care to visit with parents, siblings, and extended family while working toward reunification.
• Positive Childhood Alliance (PCA): Prevents abuse and neglect through community education, parenting support (in English and Spanish), and in-home services designed to keep families safely together.
• Chin Up Mentoring: A site-based mentoring program for middle and high school students that fosters life-changing relationships through life skills development and consistent mentorship.
2025 Impact Highlights:
• 184 CASA volunteers advocated for 545 children in foster care
• 73 parents and 122 children served through 812 in-home visits
• 1,100 supervised family visits supported reunification efforts
• 24 mentors supported 45 teens through Chin Up Mentoring
The Children’s Haven is committed to strong governance and financial stewardship. We have earned top ratings from GuideStar/Candid, Charity Navigator, and Great Nonprofits, and we again achieved Accredited Charity status from the Better Business Bureau—an honor held by only a small number of Georgia nonprofits. Ninety cents of every dollar directly supports program services.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us build happy, healthy children in our community.
